Plug the hole in the exhaust manifold, and put a plate where the valve goes on the intake.

That seems easy enough. What about the electronics of it? Just unhook it and junk the equipment?

i think unplugging the electronics would set off a code.

So, after examining my setup, Im thinking about this:
-Removing the egr tube that runs from exhaust manifold to intake.
-Thread in a plug for the EGR supply tube port on intake.
-Make a block-off plate for the EGR tube port on manifold.
-Remove cast EGR discharge tube inside kegger, cut flush with kegger wall.
Then either A:
- Leave port below EGR valve open (May allow PCM to think it is still dumping gasses into the engine, avoiding CEL?)
B:
-Make block-off plate that sandwhiches between EGR valve and intake. This way (as with plan "A"), I can still hook vac lines and electronics to EGR.
OR... Plan C:
- Scrap the idea, and leave the EGR system intact.

The EGR system DOES have it's uses..... helps reduce spark knock being right up there on the list..... If it is working... leave it there, if it is giving problems, fix it, or remove it. Leave the solenoid plugged in though, I "think" that will prevent getting codes.

Heres what I did:
-Cut the runners in my intake and shaped the new openings, widening the air entrance.
- I gasket matched the intake. Carbide bits made quick work of that, in the soft aluminum.
-I totally removed the center divider and cut the EGR tube flush with the inside wall of the kegger. EGR is still functioning and will remain operable unless it fails at a later date. At which point, I will make EGR block offs, and delete the EGR.

New fuel pressure regulator showed up today. It was a replacement for the first one I bought. When it arrived, the glass in the gauge was broken. They dropped a whole new fuel pressure regulator with install kit and gauge in the mail to me. They didnt even ask for a return of the other one! So, I have an extra regulator if someone needs one, it just needs a gauge or a plug.

Yes sir!

Intake is done being modified, I modded my TB, harness fits the engine in a factory-like way. Just need to hook up six wires (two to make it run, the others are to make dash instruments work) and plumb in EFI rated fuel line. Its about ready. Slow process, but I'm certain it will be worth the wait.
