your are false they are both solid front axle if u look it says 2500 not 1500 where they would have a different system i am asking because the truck it a great distance from me and i cant mesure the coil widths or any particulars

Sure, they are both solid axles, but, they are different axles..... I really don't think it will work.

I can't answer the question with confidence. My first way to assess it would be to look at pictures of the lift kit from the maker. That will give some clues. Trackbar would be different since the 3rd gen "improved" frame side mounting bracket. However, not hard to incorporate if you're willing to obtain the parts to make it work properly still.
Different control arms I'd imagine, assuming the 3" comes with replacements (some did for 2nd Gens).

Good deal. Are you familiar with various vendors out there selling the 3rd gen conversion bracket only? Shop it up buddy. BDdiesel, polyperformance, and some others.
It'd be really good of you to detail this swap for people here as they are probably more readily available lifts for 3rd gens than 2nd gens. It'd be curious of the price difference too.

take what you can from an answer, weather it's useful to you or not. You want an experienced answer, sell the 05 kit, use the money to purchase the correct kit for your truck. Although some parts may work, others won't. Keep it simple for yourself and get what you want, instead of piece milling something together.
