I use to run a 160* stat, thinking the ram would run better if it was cooler. It ran for years like that without any issues. The heater will not be to warm in the winter, depending on your geographic location. As far as using with an SCT Tuner, hemifever recommended a 180*.

160 is too low. Will probably cause your PCM to whine about engine too cold, too long.

My 98 with the 93 tune would spin just mashing the gas on dry pavement when I had the 33 12.50's. 3.55 gears and open rear end which probably helped. Never tried with any other tune.

Too cold for the engine to run properly. just know this: The colder the engine is compared to rated operatin temperature, the more wear, fuel usage, and less power. It's hard on a engine. Now with the 180* tstat, it won't hurt the engine. Only reason Dodge put a 190* tstat on the Magnums was to help comply with emmisions. Otherwise the LA which is what the Magnum was based upon used the 180* tstat, because they didn't have as strict of emmissions controls.

I put Hemifever Tuning on my right window on the top. It might look a little off but i think it's because the window slants downward. But mines actually 265/75r and i can spin them sometimes when i take off sitting still. (Not powerbraking) But when I take off from a stop and turn, then i can just spin them till it catches.

And I'll be putting my 180* tstat in when it gets warmer. It's winter and cold where I'm at and it gets a tad above the middle line at 200*.

Not to take it completely off topic, but will ford ranger wheels fit on our trucks? Their 5 lug but I'm still not sure. I'll be goin tonight to try them unless they for sure won't fit.

What in the world would you want to put a less-rated Ford ranger wheels on your big RAM?

Yeah i was just checking cause he had some semi-new 31s all terrains on them and only wanted 100 for all 4 wheels and tires. But yeah, i guess they are 5x4.5 cause they didn't line up.
