Well iput a new camshaft sensor in n nothing.i sprayed a little starter fluid in it and it tried to start for a second then nothing..grrr...tell me does this model even have an asd and could it be effected by the temp coolant sensor or not..btw im sorry to be so complicated but i sincerely appreciate the help as this is keeping me from going to work and im really desperate..thank u all

After tracing and retracing my situation ive found that my rotor on my distributor is pointing at my number 8terminal on my distributor instead of number one.my timing mark is on tdc and number one cylinder is at the top.it appears that my distributor may be a tooth off .does anyone know the process for fixing this and couuld it be possi le that it ran this way before my repairs.it was running but really weak on bottom end and used an unusual amt.o f fuel

Someone probably must marched the plug wires around, to make it run.... of course, that would leave injector phasing off... so it wouldn't run as good as it should.
There should be a mark on the block, and a notch in the distributor body, and they both need to line up with the rotor with number one at TDC. That sets the base, and should let the engine run well enough to get somewhere they can accurately set fuel sync.

Magnet might work, better be a strong one though. The tool I try and use is what I call a "grabby thingy"...... (yeah, nice technical term there....) Works pretty good, just gotta twist a bit while you lift.
May also be able to use a long screwdriver to turn it out as well. Good Luck.
