Default Brake Pedal

Anyone else have it where they accidently clip the pedal from the back side and the plunger on the switch goes in and you brake lights stay on? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've already replaced the switch twice.

I'm saying if you hit the brake pedal on the backside like if you let off the gas pedal it pushes the switch all the way in and the brake lights stay on until you pull the plunger back out, good wires good switch something else.

Check voltages at the switch, the brake lites shouldn't come on without getting power from the switch.... unless you have a short somewhere. Dinking with the switch turning them off indicates that the switch is indeed the issue though.... wouldn't be the first time a 'new' part was bad right out of the box. May also want to check adjustment....

Adjustment or damaged when installing. Pulling brake pedal up from backside should not set the barke light. Recheck mounting.

played with it more today im thinking something with the rod going into the master cylinder, I took the switch and switch bracket off and the pedal will go all the way up till it hits the dash. and for the heck of it I got a new switch too, not much adjustment on the bracket.

Something is missing. Pedal should not be able to come up to dash, There should be a stop. Do you have the FSM from the FAQ/DIY section?
