Exclamation help ! 1997 ram 5.2 won't start

Hey guys I have a 1997 dodge Ram 1500 5.2 truck that was given to me a year ago . Everything was great till this Nov. The transmission went out on it . So I got it rebuilt and ran great for a month until it died on me in the rain . Now it turns over but will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump, distributor cap, rotor, camshaft sensor, crank shaft sensor, ignition coil, timing chain - as well as checked the timing - to no avail. I'm at a loss for ideas as to what it could be. My next idea is the ignition switch. Any ideas or help is welcome .

If your ignition switch is bad, the engine is not gonna crank at all, replacing it is completely useless. Don't just randomly replace things... Test fuel pressure, should be about 49psi. Test the coil, see if it's getting spark. Do a compression/leakdown test to see if you're losing compression. Any codes coming up?

Wow, that is a lot of parts. + 1 on fuel pressure test. might be the relay. But I would not put anymore parts into it until ypu figure out what is missing. Air, fuel or spark.
maybe have someone pull the codes for you. A mechanic is about a hundred bucks an hour. The fuel pump had to cost twice that.

No spark to the coil? How's the coil wire going to the distributor? How's the distributor cap & rotor button thingy?

No need to test compression if you know the problem is a lack of spark.
You need to figure out why the coil isn't receiving power.
Try swapping the ASD relay with the horn relay (make sure your horn works first)

OK I got a friend that runs a shop to come look at it and check the compression on while here . He said it was OK , and I did the relay swap , still nothing . I have a friend that has the same year and engine ram , we mite try his CPU on my truck . And I returned the ignition switch I tried it but nothing .

Are you getting power to the coil for a few seconds when you first turn the key on?
