Loosen up all the rockers. (if you already have them installed.)
Install cam gear, turn cam so dot on gear is at 6:00 position.
Install crank gear, turn crank so dot on crank gear is at 12:00 position.
Remove both gears, then reinstall with chain.

Verify firing order. I think, but, am not 100% sure, that with the timing gears installed dot to dot, number 6 is at TDC firing position..... I think..... Re-torque rockers, and reassemble. Fire it up.

I have seen worse. At one point, Ford was putting nylon wrapped cam gears in the sixes..... I can't count the number of those I changed. (I had a young girl that I paid to stick her hand in the pan to collect all the pieces that fell in there.... my fat hands wouldn't fit.. the first time, the look on her face was hilarious..... after that, it was old hat for her. )

I have seen them stripped smooth of teeth too. (metal gears.....) Broken chains, chains so sloppy they wouldn't even turn the cam, just bounce on the gear teeth, etc. It happens.

Around 300 or so.... depending on where you get them. Good for 10-15 horsepower AND torque. One of the best 'bang for the buck' mods for these trucks.
