When you switch to the V-10 PCM, you are prolly going to need to get it flashed for the mileage, and VIN for your truck in any event, else it tends to annoy various systems.... (air bag, and ABS.) Once that is done, you can use the tuner on it, and it will be "vin-locked" to that particular vin. MAKE SURE that you get everything on the PCM dealt with FIRST, before you apply the tuner. Change the vin after you apply a tune, and you have a problem.

Dealer, or, a good independent shop with the correct equipment. Call around. Shouldn't be more than an hours labor....

sean (hemifever) can write a program to overwrite the 318 program, and reprogram the pcm to run a 488(v10)

I don't think a PCM from a V-8 can run a V-10 due the the lack the the extra two injector circuits the V-10 has and how the V-8's use a distributor for ignition timing where the V-10 uses and fully comp-controlled ignition module. But you guys know more than I do, so I could be wrong. I have the PCM for the V-10. Heck, it's still plugged into it!

Hemifever has written a few tunes for the V10s.
The V10 club may have some more mods for you.
The V10s have very limited aftermarket support, as a matter of fact mine is still bone stock, and still has plenty of power.
What year is the transplant from? the first couple of years the heads were prone to cracking. these are also the years that interchange with the vipers. IIRC 94-96

Ok, So I've gotten almost everything I need to do the transplant. One more question though... If I have a 47-RE from a truck equipped with a 12 Valve Cummins, do I need to change the torque converter?
