Default Dual exhaust help/tips please

I've done a search and read numerous pages about true duals and what not.
What I've come up with, run a H pipe or X pipe. Wont loose any low-end torque that way and it will sound a lot better.

So, In the next few weeks I'm going to be ordering the Cherry Bomb hot rod builder 3" exhaust kit, Pacestter long tubes, 3" H pipe, 2 Magnaflow universal cats, 2 new Cherry Bomb Vortex's and some collector flanges, so I don't have to weld the exhaust to the headers.

My questions are, the pre-cat O2 sensor, I should just mount that in the H pipe, right? Also, would I be ok putting just 1 post-cat sensor on?
Also, Think I'll be Ok with the 3" system? The collectors on the LT's are 3" so it'd just be easier than to weld on a reducer.
Any one have duals dumping out in front of both rear tires? Any tips on how to route that? And lastly, can anyone think of anything I'm missing in my parts list?

Thanks for any help.

lol

To be honest, I can't quite remember why I decided on the long tubes. Less work to build the exhaust. Any difference in flow between the long and shorties?

Long tubes are more effective at scavenging, unfortunately, the pacesetter guys are 1 3/4 primaries, which is really too big for a low-end grunt motor..... shorties are better than stock...... but, not by a whole lot.

Well, if i go with shorties, I have to change to a 2.5" system. Not too big of a deal, it'll be cheaper also. Especialy considering the point of re-doing my exhaust is to not loose any power. lol

unless you have the mods to support it ie: cam heads 1.7's and an m1.

man, i cant wait to start my build. ill be following this thread. im not sure if i want to get the pacesetter y pipe, for the LT's or get a custom exhaust made at a local exhaust shop.

Cam and M1 are in the future.... distant future though. When the time comes for those and i want to switch to long tubes then I'll go 3". Whats the point of making money if you can't throw it away right? lol

Does the extra 1/4" in the primary diameter really make that big of difference in low end torque?
What size of exhaust would be the best, 3" or 2.5"?

2.5 inch pipe will be fine.. You can actually step up to a 3 inch if you felt the need.. On my 01 ORE I had true 2.5 inch duals with super 44's... Had a real nice deep sound to it.. Best exhaust I found for the 360... Didnt do it on my 2000 cause I lost that high paying job I had lol..
