Default another 2nd gen tranny thread

Last night I pulled a guy out of a sno bank, fairly effortlessly with my 99 ram 2500, 360ci gas 4x4. After that my truck wouldnt shift out of first gear, This morning I topped up the fluid (1L) and dumped a quater can of seafoam in the tranny than went for a ride, It is shifting and driving flawlesly. No problems at all. The tranny is a rebuilt one with 20,000 kms on it, so its fairly fresh. Any Idea what would have caused this, will it happen agin. What should I do.

Low fluid level might have done it. Got any leaks?

I suggest you do a fluid(atf+4) and filter change soon and get as much of that crap out of the tranny as possible. While the pan is off, check the governor solenoid and clean it. Add a drain plug to the pan also.
