Default Won't rev past 3k rpm?

98 5.9 gas, all stock expect for headers, only 150 miles on rebuilt motor.

So its been doing this ever since i put the motor in. It was running rough, and drinking ALOT of gas. and at first i just thought it was a timing issue. The timing was fine, so i found out it had a bad injector. Now it idles and runs just fine, but still seems kinda low on torque and will not rev past 3k rpm.

No cels or anything either, what the hell!

Is the dizzy installed in the correct orientation, and has the fuel sync been set with a capable scanner? And is the exhaust hooked up ? Cat clogged? O2's replaced?

What do you mean in the correct orientation? and fuel sync?

And the exhaust is hooked up and the cats and o2s were fine before swap

Then check your work. What happens at 3K RPM? Does it start sputtering and popping?

Have the fuel sync set. No point in going any further if you don't ,as far as I'm concerned. Not to mention if the plenum was blown before the rebuild and you are using the same cat(s) and o2's without checking them, there is no way to at least eliminate that as a problem.
