Default 46RE Wont' shift passed 2nd

Well, to be honest, I'm not even sure it's getting into second.
I did a search, didn't come up with anything helpful.
I checked the fluid level, everything is good.
I changed the governor solenoid and sensor last summer (about 10k km ago, so that shouldn't be the problem).
I drove it across the city twice this morning and it ran normal. Go to leave now... almost redlined it. I got a lot of stuff to get done today and no time to get it done in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your tranny is on it's last leg........ replace the gov solenoid with one of these to gain a little more time while you save money for the rebuild. http://www.doghousediesel.com/catalog/i307.html

You can adjust the bands and do a fluid(ATF+4)/filter too obviously. You might be able to prolong the inevitable.

well you do have more time if you replace or at least clean the gov solenoid. Who knows how much more time, but at least some.

Yeah, that is true. It's just as kick in the pants that I replaced that damn thing not too long ago.
I'll give the front band an adjusting... hope that will help some.

I just searched for transmissions around here, nothing.

I came across a site selling reman's, seems to be decent.
Anybody ever heard of anything from this site?

You are much better off having the tranny done by some one local.

Guess I got some phone calls to make.
thanks for your help. I think I'll yank that damn solenoid off and throw it back at the Parts manager at the dealer. Less than a year of driving and it's done. Psft! Thanks for your help.

Its most likely not that part that is bad, it's most likely the tranny.

just called around. Going in for a check tomorrow... otherwise looking at around 3 grand for a rebuild. If I had the time and money, I'd be looking around for a used one to rebuild. if only that was still the case.
I guess everyone goes through this with their Ram sooner or later, I just need to suck it up and accept the fact that I've succumbed a bad transmission.lol

New diagnosis.
So it wasn't shifting out of first before. I got it into second... by beating it... beating it bad.
once in second, if I didn't keep on it slightly, it would drop back to second.
I'm assuming on a related note. Over the last 2 or 3 days while cruising at 60km/h, it would constantly, slightly, rev from 2100 to 2250 2300ish.. slight little bumps.
I'm thinking now either I didn't let the truck warm up enough while checking the trans fluid and there might be too much... or could it be a really gunky dirty TPS?
Would the throttle positioning sensor screw the rev's up that bad and make the tranny shift sporadically?

I'm taking the truck into a tranny shop for a (I hope like hell) free check. I'll try giving the TPS a quick yank and clean before going out.
I'm really not in the mood or financial situation for this right now. Why do I have to love Dodge's?!
