Advice on tires for 4x2

with a 2 wheel drive, don't waste money on a lift. just put some very aggressive, cheap mud grips on it. whatever size will fit, probably LT265-75/16. get a tow strap and a few buddies and go out and have fun.
whatever you do - know when to say no and don't get water in the transmission.
your truck will take a lot of abuse, but the transmission is the weak point, so don't abuse it and don't kill it with water or heat. (no high rpm rocking it back and forth). if you get stuck, just pull it out with another truck.
get 2 of these for the rear. you can match the fronts if you want to for looks and rotation, but all they'll do is steer.

---but, you are more likely to get stuck, so be prepared to get yourself out without having to walk out or go get help. have a buddy, or two. don't get all the trucks stuck at the same time. if it looks like you're about to get all the trucks stuck - stop - get in the last one that's not stuck and drive out. a winch is great, but if you don't have the bucks for one, a 4 ton come-along from harbor freight, a couple 50' lengths of 1/4 inch cable, a strap, and some D-rings will get you out of most pickles.
have fun...

damn i wish i was 18 again and didn't know anything and had a chance to ask... we might not have driven 10 miles down a muddy road to the river with nothing but a case of beer. if we'd thought to have been prepared - we could have a least taken 2 cases of beer so we'd had something to drink during the long walk out... LOL.
