replace it, don't waste any time trying to fix that. I suggest you also flush the whole brake system. It has water in it.

+1. Flush entire system with new fluid. Brake fluid attracts moisture, and most people never change the fluid out.

 

just finished flushing the system and putting on new calipers and pads. the passenger rear still sticks. the driver side is fine just the normal tiny dragging noise. the passenger side is almost frozen solid again. do you think its as simple as replacing the brake hose or am i up into the MC or pro valve

 

How many miles on the truck? What did your brake fluid look like?

Soft lines can fail internally, and act as one-way valves......

 

Fluid looked ok other then being a bit dark, no debris in it. The truck has 180,000 km on it. Also after flushing my system my abs and park brake lights are on How do you reset those

 

Probably the proportioning valve is out of center. Pump up the brakes really good, and then crack open one of the rear bleeders. (requires two people) See if that resets them. if it doesn't, do the same on the front. One or the other should do it.

May not hurt to flush the brake system REALLY well...... as the fluid ages, it picks up moisture.... heat from braking will boil the water, and give you strange brake behavior.

Doesn't matter. With the engine off, your helper can hear you better though.

 

I am lost you working on the rear or front? If the rear have you checked the e brake cables?

 

im working on the rear. i checked the e brake and everything is good its definitely a problem with the caliper area. interesting thing happened while i was bleeding the brakes trying to reset the pro valve. every brake will shoot fluid out except the right front. it just trickles out of the valve. any ideas? also ive been unsuccessful with reseting the valve. is there anything else i can try? ive read other places and tried some other tricks but nothing seems to work. maybe the valve is not the problem?
