I bought the fan controller at Advance Auto, i'm pretty sure many others have it so they should also carry replacement high power relays. The blue AC wire i connected to one of the 2 black AC wires that come out of the AC compressor, u'll have to try them both and the fan will come on when the AC engages.

Heres a link to the relay http://m.advanceautoparts.com/mt/sho...hTerm=imperial

I bought the same controller. I now have it connected to the fan clutch and it is working as it should. I will look for a higher rated relay if the 40 amp one fails again.

Maybe one of you guys could help me out. I got the Mark VIII fan from Lincoln, it has a huge surge on startup but it pulls roughly 30-40amps on full pull but its rated for over 3K CFM by itself.

I bought a kit from summit to hook it up, im curious if I can set the kit to run off the temp sensor from the system, or is there a plug someplace I can put the kit sensor in? I think its a 165-185 kit I cant remember.

Countrystyleram, I'm sorry I can not be of any help. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to electrics. I was only able to do this conversion thanks to the guidance at the beginning of this thread.

Yes, the electric fan will replace the mechanical fan and clutch assembly.

Not worth it anymore imo. 6 months ago I called the dealership and it was $112. Few weeks ago and they told me $198.26. I'm looking at the FFDynamics kit now for $275. I'd suggest the same.

Default Left and right side mounting

How did you mount the left and right side fan brackets to the fan should? Did you use the L brackets on the side also ?

Hard to tell it's not factory.
Fits nice with a 1x2 piece of aluminum between it and the shroud.
