Several members have the hughes manifold. ALL of them like it.

The hughes intake lets the engine breath better, so, at higher RPM, the difference is indeed more noticeable. However.... With complimentary mods, (headers, bored throttle body, etc.) you pick up power throughout the RPM range. Including down low, where you do most of your driving.

I installed this intake last fall. Here's a thread I did

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ll-thread.html

Love the intake. Most noticeable difference is around 2500 rpm but I don't have headers or roller rockers on yet. My other mods are a bored throttle body, high flow cat, side exit exhaust, sct tuner. Truck runs like a beast with this intake on there and it looks great on the engine. And it's all one piece so no more gaskets or aluminum plates to mess with. If you plan on doing additional modding your engine in the future, get this intake.

+1 on it being a good manifold.
As noted, by itself, you loose some bottom end, but with headers, exhaust, etc, you get it back, plus some.
In the interim, I just started revving a little higher before shifting, to hit the sweet sport.
For casual driving this isn't necessary.

Do a site forum for "Airgap", you should find plenty commentary on them.
