Wow, that's a good deal especially if VIN unlocked. I was wondering if I bought a 3865 and then tuned my truck for 91 octane and reset my speedo, could I then buy the unlock VIN option online (for $100 I've heard) and resell it? I would basically lock my truck in a 91 octane tune with 33'' tires for a total cost of $100 if I could resell the tuner for what bought it for. Would this work, or does the device make you reset your vehicle to stock before letting you buy the unlock VIN update? Hopefully, that made sense. Thanks.

I guess, I'm just trying not to throw too much money at a cheap truck. The death flash is really annoying though, so I may have to. I've also read that if you don't have ABS, you can't reset the speedo for tire size. We all have ABS, so I'm assuming they mean 4 wheel ABS. Is this true, that if you only have 2 wheel ABS, the speedo reset won't work?

No. You change the parameter called "pinion ratio" in the PCM. It uses that in calculating mph from the signal it gets from the rear diff. ABS doesn't matter at all.
