Yep, you are correct. It isn't in there.... (it mumbles about needing a scan tool to diagnose it..... wonderful) I am also not coming up with much on the web... my google-fu must be suffering......

Think I would be more inclined to swap the PCM first though.....

Yeah I went to the parts store yesterday and the guy said new one was coming in Monday.

I just wanted to make sure it was good.

I couldn't find anything on google either.

If you get another PCM, and still have a no spark condition, get a crank sensor from the dealer.

Apparently they sell you a comp without it being programmed. Said that dodge was the only brand they don't program.

So tomorrow I'm taking it to the dealer to get flashed.

Is there a way to tell them to not put the death flash on it?

You could always ask, but don't expect it to happen

I got the truck back and still doesn't start but at least its easier to diagnose.

Checked the codes on the truck and can't remember if it was p0315 or p0351.

And it only showed it twice. I tried checking again to write it down and it didn't come up anymore. But while cranking the cel comes on then when I stop it goes off.

Ok, you replaced the PCM, had it flashed to your vin, and it still won't start?

Does the fuel pump run? Do you know what fuel pressure is? Are you getting spark?

CEL should stay on if the engine isn't running....... something bizarre is going on. Wonder if you got another bad PCM.....

P0315 Crank Pos Sys Variation Not Learned
P0351 Ignition Coil # 1 Primary Circ

Makes a difference which code you are getting.... The first one would suggest failing crank sensor. Second might point to ASD relay. Are you getting power to the coil? (it will only have power for a few seconds after you turn the key to "On", unless the PCM sees the engine turning, which it may or may not be getting.....)

I didn't check for spark I had other things to do today so I only checked the codes to look up in the manual.

Pump primes and i'll check fuel pressure. I checked it once but forgot the numbers.

Pump primes and pres goes to 50 then bleeds off. I try cranking and the needle jumps around until I stop and it lands on 43-45 then bleeds off.

I was alone so couldn't check spark.

The code I'm getting is p0351.

I swapped the asd relay with the horn relay. The horn works with both.

Thanks HeyYou for helping me out. I'd buy you a 24 pack if I could.

Ok, Check and see if you are getting power to the coil. It is on the ASD circuit, so, you only have power for a few seconds if the PCM doesn't see the engine turning. This one pretty much requires a second set of hands.....
