Viton or similar o-rings will work. They just need to tolerate trans fluid.

Thanks. On different note, what pixel size can the forum accept on photos.

Not sure.... if they are too big, they will automatically resize.

Thanks.
Well this has been one hell of a trip. Learned a lot, it is up and running and is shifting better. I still have two test's I want to do and then I'll put my journey down so others can laugh at me.
Today it is 34F and snowing. I have to get a few things under cover-a freeze tonight- then check out the final two items.

Nobody's gonna be laughing, this is all a part of an ongoing learning process. I'm sure even the old pro.'s pick up a tip or two from time to time, it never ends.
One thing I learned today is I don't want to live in Cody, WY. Grew up in the Pac. NW. but have been living down here since '77. These SE TX. winters have me spoiled. Presently around ~90F, cooling off to the 70's at night.

Thanks, but really sometimes I have to laugh at myself. Go to fast and get surprises.

Hey moderator. Can I reference the manual I found on this forum when I joined. Reason I ask I see a lot of replies that go word for word out of the manual. I type for crap, so like to keep it down best I can. But I haven't seen anyone say "Oh that came from section xx of the manual on this forum."

Don't want to get anyone in trouble. Life is far to short!

Certainly, I have posted direct quotes from the manual, folks have posted pics of the pages from the manual. No worries here.

Good deal. Saves a lot of typing.

Now if I could impose on those of you who have engines-gas-smaller than the 8L V10. What I'm looking for is the rough size of the transmission cooler if there is one.

Thanks

If you have the tow package, plow package, heavy duty package, you will have two, one in the radiator, and one between the radiator, and a/c condenser.

That is correct. What I'm looking for is the size of the second cooler. The one that gets its fluid from the truck radiator. The size of the active fins would be what I'm looking for. The V-10, 47RE secondary cooler is 7"x17", and you what, I forgot to measure the depth. When it gets back I'll get that number.

What I'm trying to do is tie the manual info to the correct tranny.
