need some help with coolent hose

Default need some help with coolent hose
Ive got a leak on my heater hose where it goes back behind the altnater does anyone know how hard this is to change out

I don't think you even need to remove anything to get to it. Shouldn't be much more than a 20 minute job. (getting the hose off the nipple is the hardest part.....)

I cant see any way to get to it other than pull the altnater ill look at it again

When my hose had a hole in it like that I removed the alternator and top section and cut the hose off of the nipple and re-installed everything. Took about max of 3 hours.

I pulled the line and couldn't find any hole or split lookes brand new I think its my upper radiator hose

I pulled the altnater and I could see rust on the cup or the thermostat housing but its dripping from the center of the block some where

It's most likely the coolant bypass hose from the intake to the water pump. Bad water pumps leak like a faucet. Bypass hoses trickle.

You'll have to pull the accessory bracket off and water pump to change the bypass hose.
