I'm saying his money is better spent elsewhere if he doesn't plan on putting a whole top end one the engine.

This is true like swapping in 60s to get rid of their puny little 1500 axles

Fwiw the M1 goes great with just a set of rr's and a tune, been there done that and more. If you don't have an M1 don't speculate as to what it will and won't do, it needs some basic mods but not like you think.

Odessa/Clearwater offer both better than stock standard heads. (thicker castings, less prone to cracking.) and bigger valve heads (2.02 intake, 1.92? exhaust) for under a grand for the pair. The BTS replacements can be had for around 600.

To redneck ram: If I went with this cam I won't run HS 1.7s for sure as I don't have enough max lift. Kegger Mod, MAYBE I will clean it up a bit, knife edge the runner edges, bead blast and see what comes of it. I'd like to get a 40 ft lb bump...I feel the cam is the biggest issue with getting good numbers, my engine is healthy.

Now, I've done it once, reusing roller lifters...would it be ok to do so in this application? Mind you I am not revving beyond 4800 rpm ever.

Yeah, not as much of an issue with rollers. Although, replacing them IS cheap insurance. I think you can get a set from ma mopar for around 120.00.

How many miles on the lifters you are considering reusing?

less than 120K, and they've lived a very good life, I hooked one out to look at it, looks brand new.

Right now, I'm planning cam, hughes plate, kegger mod, looking to replace a few sensors, the IAT is way out of calibration, pcm says 90 degrees when the probe in the vac port says 65... IR gun confirms the same, 65 degrees right on the sensor... so that will get changed, O2 sensor, probably timing chain, though correlation is still less than 4 degrees. I don't plan to change anything else. I may do head gaskets just so I can lift the heads off to look at condition and determine whether now is the time to go for EQ heads.
