Will your truck start in gear?

Have you checked for codes with a reader? Not all trans codes will turn on the CEL.

Might need to put some gauges on it, and see what's going on with pressures.... Since it shifts fine manually..... I suspect an electronic problem, more than something mechanical.

It wont start in gear. has to be in park or neutral so the saftey swith i assume is working. havent pulled codes yet cause the light never came on but will try to do that soon.i also think its electrical since it is perfect when shifting manually, doesnt slip at all and pulls fine.

Found out something else. i can pull the trans fuse under the hood and the truck will move when put in drive but its not in first gear. When you stop the truck it will die when the fuse is out though. put the fuse back in and it goes back to having to put it back down into first to get it to move. any thoughts on this?

I am almost leaning toward a problem with the PCM..... if you had another one you could test with, that would help.....

Pull any possible codes, and see what you get. Let us know.

If you able to shift the transmission thru the gears starting from low gear and upshift from1st to 2nd and the 3rd. You may have a governor and transducer problem. The transmission maybe starting off in a high gear and not 1st. Now if you weren't able to upshift thru any gears, then you would replace the valve body assy. I know you already replace the governor and transducer. But did you use Mopar parts?
