New member and have a problem
Hello everyone. Yesterday I bought my first dodge to be my 'hunting rig'. Got it for a good price even though it had issues. It is a 1994 dodge ram 1500 5.9. The fault codes are 32 and 37. I am assuming for 32 I can just replace the egr, buy not sure what to do about the 37. Even with these error codes, I feel as though the truck runs fine. I still want to fix it in order to get rid of the check engine light. Thanks!
37 is trans. temp. Take a look underneath and see if you even have a trans. temp. sensor. It'll be on the front trans. fluid line on the drivers side of the trans. if you have one. The line that goes to the cooler.
Remove the check valve on the same line, about a foot before the cooler. They have a tendency to plug up and cause trans. overheating, frying the trans.
If there's no sensor, don't worry about that code, it' pretty common for these OBDI trucks to throw that code even when there's not a sensor.

Anyone mind jumping under their truck and snapping a picture of the trans sensor.location, I look a look but am a bit lost around the trans. Thanks for the help! I'll be cleaning the egr today.
What code is it giving? If it is still trans temp, need to know if you actually have the sensor.

I am not quite sure if I have a temp.sensor or not, I have not seen one.yet. I however took a picture of what I think is the one way check valve and wanted to upload it but it won't let me since I'm on my phone. The one way check valve is about 1-foot from the cooler on a hose line correct? I went to o'rileys and the guy said he has never seen a one way check valve on a cooler line. I'm assuming he is wrong so I wanted more clearification here.
Yep, that would be the check valve. You can just drill it out, clean out the line, and put it back on. (need the special disconnect tool. 3/8ths I do believe, same size as the fuel line, conveniently enough.)
For pics, your best bet is to host them someplace like photobucket, or imageshack, and then just link to them here. (image tags)
