Leakding output shaft seal

Hi,
I have a leak on transfer case output shaft seal. Is this as easy to replace as it looks? do I need special tool to remove/install a new one. This has a tear causing the leak on the bottom side. Thank you!

Yes, it as easy as it looks. The part you see with the tear is just a dust boot to protect the seal lip.

so just a screwdriver will remove it?

Yup. Take the driveshaft out, pop old seal out, tap new one in, put driveshaft back, and check fluid level ( atf +4).

yikes, I cannot get the damn seal off!! This is a New York truck with lots of rust and I was hoping I could get out without having to buy a seal puller but that thing is in there. Nothing is easy!
