My truck came with an Airaid cold air intake.
What a joke.
Piece of pipe with a filter attached to it. Sucking hot air from under the hood. Stupid.
I tossed it and installed a stock box and K&N. Now the engine gets cold air from the grill.
I believe this to be way better than the **** that was on there.

Best intake to buy for the money? The stock one.
Then put the money in the engine in the form of a proper tune up, O2 sensors, plenum gasket repair, etc. More power, better economy, nicer running engine this way. If you've already done all those things, move on to drive line fluid changes.
Sorry, didn't exactly answer your question, but I had a "Cold Air" Intake for a couple years and it didn't really help anything.

On these trucks, a cold air intake really doesn't do anything. The stock intake is already drawing cold air from the fender. Exactly the same place most of the aftermarket fellers get air from. You *might* see a bit of improvement in the higher RPM range, from the slightly better flow you may get from a CAI.... but, that's about the only benefit.
