I did but Chrysler technicians put it in any systems they work on, I asked them bout it. I've tried with normal steering fluid. And alright, I will try and do that tomorrow. The new gear box makes a snap/cracking noise at certain points thru the steering cycle. If I cut really hard there's other terrible noises. Getting so bad that I have to accelerate thru turns or else I will lock up. Still waiting to meet for a flow test. Thought about removing the belt and seeing what it's like to turn the pulley by hand? Is that even worth it?

It will tell you if there is something crunchy in the pump..... Should turn pretty easy, and SMOOTH.

AND THE RESULTS HAVE COME IN! I flow at 2.0 gpm at idle, about 40psi. When I attempt to steer, the gpm drops to absolute 0, and psi goes through the roof! Off the gauge it was so high. When you rev (and don't steer) I could only get the gpm to about 2.5 and no higher.

Try and turn, while holding the engine at about 1000 RPM, what does pressure do?

So I wonder what's up with off-the-scale pressure at idle. What's different???

That's just strange.
