I cant read live data with the scanner i have. Its not just a code reader but it doesnt have that function. Either the temp sensor is bad or possibly a wiring issue im assuming?
Thats what i was thinking about the ops too. I will probably just toss a new one in and see what happens
The scanners at the parts stores around here will read live data. And it is something you can do right quick in the parking lot. (and if it's bad, you are right there to get a new one. )
I will probably do that tomorrow and see what happens. So im looking at readings for the coolant sensor...and i should probably monitor the iac and tps too while im at it
Ok heres what i got. I plugged the scanner in and went to live data. It read the ECT at 59 degrees without the engine running. Its 55 here now. I started it and the temp slowly went up. Also the TPS was at 11%and didnt move. The IAT was at 57.2 degrees MAP 12.1 the RPM were at 848m so where do I go from here? Oh also the the truck smells when running. Im wondering if its out of time and was like that before i took it apart. Let me know what you think
No it didnt move. Stayed at 11. I was in park wasnt driving. I checked the MAP sensor it looks good the boot is ok. Im outside messing with it now. Its running. Kind of rough still and smells like its running rich as hell. Stinks oh and i think my temp gauge is shot it doesnt sweep when i did the test.
