Default 98.5 header to y pipe gasket??

Just replaced my header gaskets on my hedmen shorties with proform aluminum gaskets and stage8locking bolts. Headers are sealed 100% now, but the flange is leaking. I'd like to replace the donut gaskets but am having a very hard time finding them, if they're supposed to be there at all

Try the various muffler shops where you live. Probably a fairly common part.

i have a question about locking bolts. our manifolds use 2 studs and 2 bolts correct? so do you replace the 2 bolts with studs or just use the locking kit on the studs? im considering headers when i replace my y pipe and cats

headers usually have a uniform thickness mounting flange front to back, so, bolts will actually work...... sometimes there are fewer clearance issues for the bolt heads as well. (Alan head bolts tend to take care of any clearance issues, but, not sure you can get locks for them.

I heard 2nd gen mafia on Facebook it's not supposed to be there. Scraping my old headers the instructions sheet showed just the ball and socket coming together, no gasket. Now i have to figure out how to seal these :/ guess I'll try a crap ton of orange rtv around them

RTV will just burn off. Gets pretty hot there...... wonder if things just aren't aligned quite right. Wouldn't be the first time. Could try loosening up the y-pipe on both sides, and see if you can't get a slightly better fit?

The orange rtv says it's for use on headers, but just because it says it doesn't mean it works haha. I could give that a shot, although the ball flange got creased. So i probably screwed them up

The orange RTV should likely hold up. It is blended with copper and works well with my header gaskets.
