01 4x4 1500 5.9 tranmission going
So recently my truck was at higher than normal RPMS when leaving from a stop. I took it into a tranny shop Thursday morning, let me call it "Xshop". So Thursday afternoon they call me and say the pump needs to be replaced which would $480, and that why high rpms because i'm starting off in 2nd gear. Then I get a message from Xshop Friday afternoon to call them ASAP. I call them they say, they found broke off snap ring in the pan and they can replace the pump but the tranny is going to go. It needs to be rebuilt. So they said since my boss has brought in two other vehicles to their shop in the last year, they will replace the pump and rebuild my tranny for $2600. Whether that's a good deal or not, IDK??
Does that sound like a good price?
Right now I'm a lil annoyed because they called me this morning asking for my approval to do the work. Its Wednesday, they already asked me this Friday and said it would be done by Wednesday and that my truck was on the rack and I wouldn't lose my place in line. Why they calling me today on Wednesday and asking for my approval to do the work and order parts?! I told them you said it would be done today, they said it might be. I am wondering to myself, what were they doing the past two days?!

Local rebuild shop prices factor in the R&R, fluids, etc.
$2600 for a shop to do your trans isn't out of line. Book time on overhauling your trans, with skid plate, flushing trans cooler lines, and going through the valve body, is about 17 hours. At $80-120/hr shop rate, plus say $500 for parts, and a couple hundred for fluid and shop supplies, and you're right there.

Truck all done. Runs great! I put 60k on my truck in 4 years. idk how many miles were already on the tranny. It had 100k when I bought it. On weekends the trucks is either towing 2 horses around less than 20miles or my 1k# boat up into the mountains usually 150 to 200miles round trip! So it got put to work!
Now that I have it back, the radio, power mirrows and dome light arnt working. I called the shop all they said they did was disconnect the battery. Anyone have any idea why they arnt working? I checked the radio fuse, its good, there is no fuse labled for the power mirrors.
