My ram truck
Wouldn't adding a circuit require a relay as well than?
flexalite makes a small fan rated at 9.2 amps. Would this be ok? Can I install it and use the compressor circuit? It's only an aux fan not a replacement for the metal fan. Which I plan on swapping to a lightweight flex fan anyways.

Leave the stock fan as it is. It has that nice clutch on it, so, when you don't need it, it doesn't really draw any power. Plus, it is more effective than a flex fan......
The fan you linked will work fine, keep in mind, it isn't as effective as a pusher, as it is as a puller. (mounting it in front of the condenser pushing air thru it....)
Yes, use a relay, just use the compressor circuit, (either one, control, or power) to control your relay, and it'll work just fine. Still, give it it's own separate power tap. (either from the battery, or, from the big lug the battery cable goes to on the PDC.) Fused, of course.

Fuse block is in the side of the dash..... I don't know if there are any unused spots in the PDC, depends on what options you have on your truck..... Also, you really don't want to add that significant of a load to any of the existing fuses...... chance of melting wires there..... they are minimally sized in any event. (cheaper)Eliminating the fan entirely does seem to make a difference....... don't know if it is an actual difference, or, just a placebo though.
I think I have spots. The truck doesn't have to much in it. It's got a relay space open I think and maybe a fuse under the hood
I did mean the PDC as you call it. Sorry

Not really.
More a convenience factor than anything else. You don't really get much of an improvement in fuel economy..... 1 mpg would be the BEST you could expect..... Trouble is, good electric fan kits run north of 400 bucks...... would take LONG time to recover your investment. Bit snappier throttle response..... better a/c performance, that's about it.
If you can get your hands on the right connectors, and such, shouldn't be too much trouble to wire one in then.
