My friend said it cause the Torqure converter I have ? Bit it idles between 500-600 sorry fully warmed with no signs of stalling or wanting to but I'm going to try to Change the pickup coil up the cap to see if that helps the shaking while accelerating

The sensor in the cap is the cam position sensor. It controls injector timing, has nothing to do with ignition timing. it's cheap, and your is old, so, it certainly won't HURT to change it, but, don't expect it to solve anything.

The stalling stopped Completely and the idle isn't bad just a little low when in drive/reverse but don't want to stall at all...the people at orielys auto parts told me the O ring with sensor attached was a Distributor Pickup Coil mine is worn down the last thing that's wrong with the truck is the shaking on acceleration and popping while accelerating which I know for a fact is my exhaust due to clamps and muffler but the shaking they said it might be the bad spark wire or pick up coil that can cause it but idk the skating happens but only code 37 comes up idk if it's from when my transmission clutches blew out cause idk think they ever cleared the computer or reset Trans codes but not 100% sure plus I'm just going off what people are telling me but it's one thing to look up on a computer and actually work on the truck it self and have on hand experience

If you have changed a bunch o' sensors, you really should reset the PCM. (which will also clear codes....) Just disconnect the battery, turn the headlights on for a minute, hook the battery back up. At first startup, the truck will relearn the 'zero' values for the various sensors, including IAC..... Might solve your low idle problem, might not.....

Popping in the exhaust is unburned gas. That's a mixture problem..... (could be rich or lean though, ain't that fun?) got a new O2 sensor on there? Does disconnecting the O2 change anything at all?

Haven't tried the o2 but the O/D switch in truck does not turn on when pushed and I've disconnected the battery multiple times same code comes up

Hhhmmm... Think I would have a look at the connector at the PCM, and also verify you are getting power TO the transmission.

The O/D off switch is just a momentary on switch that suggests to the PCM that you don't want O/D.... PCM then turns on the light..... shuffles shift points around a bit, and probably some other stuff as well.

Does O/D and TCC work?

Also, just out of idle curiosity, does your truck actually have the trans temp sensor? It would be mounted the the trans cooler line, right near the trans, on the line toward the front of the trans.

Then light for O/D off doesn't come on at all during start up or when pushed idling and idk on TCC and the PCM connectors and wires look fine just when pressing the O/D button there's no click nothing

Find a nice, reasonably straight road, with very little traffic. Start from a dead stop, and accellerate slowly to around 50 MPH. You should see it shift three times, (minor drop) and then a fourth, (big drop in RPM) Should be right about 1400 RPM or so in O/D, TCC locked, assuming 3.55 gears, and 245 or 265 tires.

See what ya get.

The wire on my # 2 spark plug is bad so can't drive right now but will try I have 33 tires and the popping won't hurt the truck?
