I have a 2001 Ram 1500 Sport Off-Road with a 5" RC lift and 3" PA BL. I would like to get my height a little higher. My question is without adjusting anything else (track rod, sway bar links, driveshaft, etc.) could I get away with 2" spacers in the front and a 2" AAL in the back? If so, would you recommend just getting a nice set of 7" could with new shocks or just do the 2" coil spacers? Some time down the line I will upgrade to a new suspension lift so please don't suggest that right away. If I can get away with spending $500 and get the 7" of lift I'll do it instead of a new kit for $2,500-$3,000!
Why blow 500 bucks you don't have to, if you are going to replace the lift kit anyway? Do you want to go to larger tires? What size you runnin' now, and what gear ratio in the diffs?
uh oh.. here we go again lol I'm not gonna upgrade any time soon so I'm looking for a long term temporary fix. I'm running 35's atm but would like to go a little bigger. Yet more things to add to the list lol. I wanna do Dana 60s front and back, and upgrade from 4.10 to 4.88. All in time lol this will be sitting in the driveway the majority of the time
Stock axles aren't really going to like much bigger tires.... It's a big, heavy truck, and 35's are about the limit for the D44, and 9.25... If you don't drive it much, not as much of an issue, but, something to keep in mind.
You *might* be able to get away with spacers in front, but, I would pay very close attention to suspension geometry. Also, might wanna read the warranty card on your current lift, as I suspect it will be voided should you add spacers..... AAL in the back shouldn't be a problem.

Short answers here:
Yes, but don't ever drive it.
No, because you'll not be able to keep it under control based on what you asked.
Could you share some details on how you custom built your suspension? I'd be very interested, photos etc.
I did not build the suspension. A suspension guru did. As far as photos there is not much to show. Most of the suspension is Superlift. Sorry I cant be more help. Iv had this set up since 09 so its been working well
