Yay, look at that, it worked! But, no lights was on, no tranny temp or anything. Just thought it was wierd since i unplugged a kinda important cable.

Well, i guess i have to take down the pan and valve body and see what sensors it is. NOT what i wanted to do on a new tranny

Oh come on, you KNOW you just LOVE diving into new parts, that are supposed to work right on install.

Yeah, the lights won't come on, as the PCM has no clue what is going on. It should set the check engine light though.......

The fact that it shifts manually, with it unplugged, tells me that the electronics are indeed wrong for your year truck. Still have the original trans? Might be able to take the parts you need out of that one, including the little clip, clean 'em up, stuff 'em in, and have a working trans.

If it makes you feel any better, my service manager brought his friend's truck in for a shifting issue (1st then 4th, nothing else), it was determined to be transmission internal, so they put a new trans in it. Same thing. Called their tech line and they said it happens, throw another trans in it. And that's at the dealership...

Haha, ofcourse, i'd much rather work on the truck than driving it...
Well, i swapped my old tranny with this new one at the dealer, who bought it from another dealer far away from here, so he was going to send my old tranny to the dealer far away. If i'm lucky, it might still be left here.

But I'm going to take the pan down, and if it is the wrong sensors, I don't really care how my dealer solves that problem, as long as I get the right sensors and a lower price

What clip were you talking about btw?

The clip is pretty much just a bent piece of flat steel, not very big, I *think* it holds the pressure sensor in place. They changed from 99 to 00, as did the sensors.

Here is a picture of the different sensors you are looking for on the valve body.
You should have the one in the first link.
If it resembles the one in the second link take it back to the dealer.

Oh thank you! But i couldn't seem to find the trans temp sensor.

Anyone know exactly which sensors etc that changed, i.e. which sensors i should take back to the dealer?

I have not done the check valve delete, why is this necessary?

Temp sensor is integrated with the governor pressure sensor.

Check valve is on the trans cooler line that goes to the lower fitting on the radiator. The idea was to keep the torque converter from draining down when the engine wasn't running. Only problem is, it tends to get gunked up, and restricts/prevents fluid flow thru the coolers. Your trans quickly overheats, and heat kills. Removing it will give you a slight delay in trans action on the first startup of the day, but, afterwards, works just fine. It won't hurt anything by NOT being there, but, it can kill your trans if it gets plugged up.
