how to bypass trans relay

On the 8 pin connector, pin 1 should be battery voltage, pin 2 should be 5 volt power feed. With it unplugged, you won't get anything meaningful on the other pins.

ok thats why the reading are wrong.I dont see nothing but ff data on my scanner.
how do I test volts at the connector.with key off or on and running or not

Key on, engine running, and trans relay supplying power. The governor pressure solenoid is 12 volts, (as are the tcc, and o/d solenoids) sensors (temp, and pressure) are 5 volts. Even if the relay kicks out, the five volt stuff should still be powered.

You can test voltages at the PCM connectors. Governor pressure signal will be on connector 2, pin 29. See what voltage you get there at idle.

getting 1.6 volts

At idle, that should be about right..... I think...... Wonder what the PCM is whining about.

Have a helper? See what happens when the trans is put in drive.

about 1.35 in drive

That side seems to be working as it should...... Check the wire/connector at the pcm that controls the ground for the trans relay. (connector 2, pin 30.....) Would be nice if you could monitor that while driving, but, that's gonna be a neat trick with VOM......

ive tried grounding c2 pin 30 to firewall with no change
