how to bypass trans relay
Did you you ever find out the problem, having the same issue.. but trans guy said no voltage to the sensors or trans relay.. he said he was gonna hot wire the trans to get power to see if the gears come back an if so he gonna put a regulator in
Toy have a broken wire or bad pcm
To get you around with all four gears and lock up, ground pin 2 on the trans relay and that forces power to the trans. Pin 2 is the same as the pink wire from PCM that controls ground circuit. If you get all the gears with pin 2 grounding on trans relay, check condition of pin 2 to pink wire from PCM. If it ohms good then you need a PCM. I've been driving my 99 Durango around for a long time now with trans relay pin 2 grounded and it shifts perfect. Don't worry about running batt down when asleep, it wont. Every once in a while I remove my make shift ground from trans relay pin 2 to see if it will shift, and it goes back to limp mode 3rd gear start. Expect an engine light and same code with the ground supply on relay pin 2, and you should find a PCM to get this right. I bought a scanner and now I'm broke, so the little trick will get me around for a few months. I'm not a tranny tech, but if your PCM is bad this trick will work. Let me know??

If you have the pan down, wouldn't hurt to have a look.
