P 1740 Code 2001 Ram 1500
So, I put a reman trans in my 01 Ram 1500 5.2L 4x4. It was out of a 1997 and had about 900 miles on it before pulled. Upon installing the new trans, I installed the updated 3/4 spring, Overdrive solenoid w/ harness, and the Heavy -Duty Borg Warrner Solenoid, speed sensor, and lockup sensor as well. Flushed radiator cooler as well as new Dorman lines as well. It shifts great. Once in a while will hold 3rd on a downshift a little too long I feel but still goes into OD and Lock-up good too. Starts in first every time and no shutter in reverse. What is causing the 1740 code?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Been too busy recently, Just dropped the pan last night and took solenoid out and reinstalled. It looked ok but I recall when I first put in it seemed to not want to go in enough but the hold down plate seemed to work. Drove it and Shifts the same.
Adjusted D/T cable again and 1,2,3 gear shifts are like snapping your finger perfect, then I have to let off gas to drop in 4 and Lockup. D/T Cable not adjusted right? Do I want it tight or loose. It does downshift very easily and front a stop on a downhill start with almost no throttle it wants to stay in 1st or 2nd unless i touch throttle.
Sorry for story book!

Well I got some miles on her now and after readjusting the kickdown cable it has been really good. This morning I got the 1740 code again and it shut overdrive off. No Temp light, that never comes on. The trans I installed is a 98-99. There was a service bulliton about drilling out the boost valve cover plate on 2000-2001. This being an older trans might have the smaller hole up top, (maybe). If it has the small hole could that be causing this? I still have my old valve body so I could swap the whole unit it I needed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sorry, Yes O/D and TTC I put in right before I posted this. Odd side note maybe means something, I have had a P0420 code but I have new o2 sensors and believe a hollowed cat causing the P0420. Maybe a bad tps sensor? Truck has 150K
