After Clinton passed his Put Everyone In Prison Bill in '94 what got me entirely too much unwarranted attention from those of porcine persuasion was, get this: a Hang Loose bumper sticker in a legally permitted location on the back window of my Cherokee. Being one who naturally lacks the gene that enables the showing of deference to authority but possessing an abundant expression of the gene that meets aggression with greater aggression, I knew it was just a matter of time before I got invited to take an inside look at things I hate from the outside already. But I had no idea how to stop it because I had no idea at all about why I was being hassled all the time.

A woman who wasn't much inclined to let the law interfere in her practice of her chosen lifestyle finally explained it to me, so I scraped that sticker off and didn't get pulled over again until I coasted up to 72MPH on a downgrade with a 65MPH limit ten years later, and not again since that. And it was all over a souvenir I picked up in Hawaii.

If stickers are your thing, grab one of your state stickers that has a blue bar through it. The sticker I had put on my mom's jeep saved both of us a couple times

 

Color me stupid: I don't follow. What's a "state sticker with a blue bar through it"?

 

Maybe state police. Get a state police sticker too. Like a little supporting sticker lol

 

Better yet, drive around in the ice cream truck from Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams. Ya might as well have some style while begging to get rousted. Cops are generally stupid but they are trained to spot obvious deception. That police benevolent society sticker thing started backfiring when Lyndon Johnson was president.

 

Maybe I am just lucky, or maybe they are blind. Who knows lol

Kinda not worried about getting pulled over till I get the truck fixed and on the road lol

 

Oh, it's been about 15 years since I was last pulled over.......

Of course, that was for 'improper use of turn signals'..... 4:00AM, empty roads, not a car in sight, so I didn't use my turn signal to signal my turn.... The cop, that was sitting parked by the transformer yard on the corner, with no lights on at all, immediately pulled out to pull me over, and felt this terrible need to give me a ticket for something.....

Technically, he WAS correct.... I did not use my turn signal... but, there was no one ON the road..... I didn't see the point.
