Dodge recommends ONLY ATF +4. Even our resident trans guru (whom me miss dearly) suggested that any other fluids would more than likely leave you with problems.

I use Valvoline. +1 to nothing but ATF+4. Dodge trannies are sensitive to things like that

Who told you that? Really good stuff for what? At any rate, stick with ATF+4.

ATF +4 is all the same. If something is labelled ATF +4 it means it meets all the criteria to be ATF +4. So go buy whatever is on sale and fill 'er up. Like everyone has said, ONLY and nothing else other than ATF +4 should go in your dodge trans...

you must use atr-4 if you have a lock up converter
If you have put in a non lock up you can use most anything in a tq
but atf4 is a premium synthetic atf- you relly can't do any better
developed the Transgo kit on my truck many years ago
250 thou miles and lots of towing just starting to not shift as chrisp

Back in the day i used B&M trick shift in a 727 trans that already had a shift kit in it. I really did not notice any improvement in shifts/etc like they claim it will improve. I say save your money and improve your hardware if you are looking for improvements.
