"Performance" comes from the tune. The old Mopar Performance PCM was for the OBDI fellers, that you couldn't flash program. With the advent of OBDII, no longer necessary to replace the PCM, just update the programming.

Oh, makes sense. I gotcha. If I could find a secondary PCM just as a back up, that would be great.

It will still run the engine/trans, just no ABS, or I think.... Airbags.

Hmm.. I can do without ABS, but Airbags might be nice lol.

I wonder if an electronics shop would be able to transfer my stock tuning from the one tuner to the other since SCT is out of the question.

They both have a port where I have a special wire that goes from the tuner into a computer via USB is that is what you mean.

There's a wire coming out of the tuner that goes to OBDII, then there is another port in the bottom where I hook a printer cable into, and on the other end it goes to a USB port, and as in flavor do you mean USB 2.0?
