So I was getting 2v on pin 4 and 47 when ever I fixed my connectors on my pcm connector. So I grounded off the frame and put it to pin 47 and I get 5v. So I replaced my ground wire and still the same deal with 2v. I'm really running out of patience with this.

VSS modifies the signal to the PCM depending on vehicle speed. try putting the rear on jackstands, let it idle in gear, and see if the value changes.

That's the thing. Just ran new ground wire. The voltage is getting to vss pin all the other sensors off of the ground splice are getting proper voltage when tested with pin 4 but as soon as I test out 4 and 47 2v sometimes less than 1. It doesn't make sense

Pin 47 is signal from the VSS, not ground......

Yea I got that. I know 47 is vss. What I am saying is that pin 4 is the sensor ground. When I test all pins for other sensors with pin 4 I get 5v. The only time I don't is when I test 47 and 4. I only get 2v. When I ground off the truck and test 47 I get 5v.

I am not entirely sure just what signal the VSS is sending... be it a specific voltage vs. speed, or is it the frequency of the signal? In the latter case, return voltage wouldn't matter......

But, as I recall, the speedo works, you just keep getting VSS codes, right?

No speedo no od. Getting code for vss and code 37 as well. I have a pigtail for transmission temp sensor with it all messed up but I have no sensor to plug it in. No way this could be all my problems?
