I have a 94 dodge 1500 4x4 5.9 v8 magnum. My speedometer is not working, no cruise control, and won't go into overdrive. I've checked to see if both speed sensors were getting correct voltage and they were. I've swapped the instrument cluster and stI'll nothing. My speedo gear in the transfer case is fine. I'm rinning out of options.
all my gauges work except speedo and odometer. I get a code 37. I have proper voltage on all 3 wires on vehicle speed sensor. I am getting good voltage to my abs speed sensor as well
I wonder if you are getting anything OUT of the VSS...... got a scanner that can read data? 37 is a TCC code....... (unless you have a trans temp sensor....)

I am getting voltage in and out of vss. I do have a transmission pressure solinoid
Depends on where the problem was. If the PCM was still getting VSS signal, then it wouldn't care if the speedo itself didn't work.
Unplugged, shorted out (max bounce speedo), and gear removed were all the same for me. Did get a mil when it was unplugged, but still shifted fine. Maybe I just had an oddity.
