Default 94 speedometer o/d issues!

I have a 94 dodge 1500 4x4 5.9 v8 magnum. My speedometer is not working, no cruise control, and won't go into overdrive. I've checked to see if both speed sensors were getting correct voltage and they were. I've swapped the instrument cluster and stI'll nothing. My speedo gear in the transfer case is fine. I'm rinning out of options.

Is the PCM getting a VSS signal? From the symptoms, I would guess "no". Any codes?

I wonder if you are getting anything OUT of the VSS...... got a scanner that can read data? 37 is a TCC code....... (unless you have a trans temp sensor....)

Need to solve the speedo problem first. The PCM will never activate overdrive, if it doesn't know how fast you are going.

Sorry for the quick hijack.
What years do this? Just asking because my 97 never gave me trans problems without a speedo.

Depends on where the problem was. If the PCM was still getting VSS signal, then it wouldn't care if the speedo itself didn't work.

Unplugged, shorted out (max bounce speedo), and gear removed were all the same for me. Did get a mil when it was unplugged, but still shifted fine. Maybe I just had an oddity.
