Default Auto down power window

I very happy my 01 Sport came with the creature comfort interior options it has.
The auto down drivers window annoys me, I want to disable it! Personally I would rather have auto up. Is there a way to disable the auto down or reverse it so it's auto up instead?
Thanks

Wonder if you could just swap out the window switches, with a switch block from a 99, or some such, and do away with the 'auto' feature altogether....

I'm hoping your right. I just figured that since I wanted to do it that it would be automaticly more involved than just switchin the switch.

My '99 has auto down too, and I don't like it either. I'm thinking that the passenger switch will not swap right in there but maybe swap the wiring around. I will look into it.

Yea for the most part we aren't thowing coins out the window at the toll both any more. I figure if it's not as easy as switchin the switch there's got to be a relay somewhere to unplug or change. I would much rather it be auto up.

I think the auto feature is actually part of the switch itself. I think..... Could repin the connector, to reverse the switch operation?

I did a search before I posted and was looking at wiring diagrams. I couldn't find any thing that went that deep. Unless the switch pod pops out from the top without having to remove the door panel I'll have to wait for warmer weather to take the door apart in the driveway to look at and play the wiring and switches.

Yes, the auto feature is part of the switch. The window motor is a simple dc reversing motor, it only has two wires going to it. Cut and swap those wires (either at the motor or the switch) and call it good. Up will be down and down will be up, though. You may want to swap the wires on the passenger side too, just for the sake of confusion. Although, it will confuse your passengers.
