You can actually get a pair of new castings, fully assembled, for around 600 or so. They are just stock heads, (better castings) but, they are still an improvement.

Ebay. Odessa and Clearwater both sell them. (same company, for the most part.)

Upon my research it looks like the cheapest I can find is a little over 800 bucks from odessa for a new pair or a little over 600 for reman heads, which would you recommend?

Wow. I wouldn't want to think prices went up THAT much in just a couple months..... Try calling Clearwater, and have a chat. 1-800-572-1963

After a bit more digging I found a pair for 620 just have to return my old ones. Is there anyway to delete the egr so that I can go with the Hughes intake without affecting performance or engine light?

Are those Remans? Given they have a core charge, my guess is "yes". I would actually call clearwater, (or odessa, whichever one answers that phone number) and TALK to them. You want NEW castings, not remans.

Some folks have just deleted all the EGR stuff, and not worried about it. Once in a while, they may get an EGR code, but, reset the PCM, and then it's gone again. The only way to get it out of programming is with a custom tune, which you would have to send it out for..... Not something you can do at home.

Other alternative might be to 'upgrade' to a 96-97 PCM and harness..... Not only do you lose EGR, you can also flash program it at home. (with a tuner....) You would likely have to re-pin a connector or two, but, it would make your life a bit easier. (once it was done..... )

Yes they are new, I'm guessing they want cores so they can make more reman? I've been looking real hard into the manifold that Hughes makes but like previous stated that comes without egr. I'm in va so there aren't emissions down here so I can delete it and deal with the occasional light unless the obd2 harness has the same style plugs for everything?
