Default disc brakes ?

Will caliper brackets from a 02 9.25 rearend fit a 96 housing ?

Your 96 should have drums in the back.

I think he wants to convert to rear disc.

That said, I don't know...... you would have to test that theory, and see if it worked out.

Maybe swap the whole rearend then.

I asked my wife to swap her rearend, now nothing works down there. At least, that's what she's telling me...

+1 on the rear swap. I found a Dana 60 from a 2001 truck with 4.10 gears and disc brakes to put under my '96 2500 with a Dana 60 with 3.55 gears and drum brakes. Hope to get this swap done soon once the weather breaks and the pollen subsides here.
