Is this the IAC? If so is there a trick to unplugging it from the connector? I do not want to just tug on it and screw it up if there is a certain way or disconnecting it.

Nope, that's the Throttle Valve cable. Goes down to the trans, and modulates shift points/firmness.

IAC is on the back side of the throttle body, right smack in the middle. There is a four wire connector. Yep, it's a pain to get to.

You'll see the left side of this with a flat 4 wire connector.

This is a 95 but I think yours will be the same. You need to remove the air cleaner assembly. The bolts for the IAC might require a torx bit.

Here's one, I think you need a T20 torx bit. I would get one for a ratchet instead of a screwdriver like he used. I would also buy some antiseize compound to put on the threads.

When you said to set the multimeter on 20, would that be the DCV, setting?
