Default Cranks and Cranks Until I pump Gas

Hey everyone been having a problem lately with my truck. It only does it sometimes and just started withing last few months. Sometimes its first thing in the morning, sometimes mid day. Sitting for awhile or shortly after shut off so the problem is intermittent. Truck just cranks and cranks until I pump the gas. What causes this? Fuel pump, injectors, sensor? Thanks for a direction.

Could be a few things. Tps iac would be the first i would check. Does the fuel pump prime when you first turn the key? Any codes?

No codes and I dont always pay attention to listen to fuel pump but if I do I can hear it. Also my fuel gauge quit working, stuck on empty all the time. Not sure if its connected to the crank issue

Fuel sender is bad. It doesn't effect fuel pressure. I drove around two years with out one. I just would fill the tank and refill it when it got to the right mileage. I guess you are doing the same?

Yeah I refill about 225-240 mile mark. So tps may be dirty? How should I go about checking the sensor and iac motor? If it was bad wouldnt it do it all the time?

Pull the throttle body, and clean the snot out of it. That might just solve your problem.

Pushing the pedal is letting more air in through throttle body. IAC passages maybe all gunked up.

It only does this maybe 2 out of every 5 times starting. If it wasn't working at all wouldn't it do it consistently?
