Default Anyone know what this hose is for? (Pics)

Is this "vent" hose looking line, coming from the CAD at axle, supposed to look like this at the top? That white plastic thing sitting at the top of hose. Since reinstalling t case, it goes into 4wd, 4wd light comes on and when in 2H it doesn't pop out of gear anymore. I just cant figure out what this hose is for, if it's supposed to be like it is at top of it, and if someone may have done something for some reason before I bought it.

All the vent functions work fine. Defrost, face, feet, etc all go to their positions when switch is turned to them. Fan blows all speeds. It does have a transmission cooler that someone put on it a long time ago. The heater hose looks like it has a "flush" adapter put on it(the big bronze bolt looking thing halfway from firewall inline with heater hose).

I don't know, so I thought I'd try the "EXPERTS"!

It's a vent line for the front diff. It is where it needs to be, and is nothing to worry about. There *should* be a 'cap' on top of it, but, so long as it doesn't suck water, its fine. (so, watch how deep your water crossings are. )

I once had a mirror fall off the inside windshield. It was repaired by a special glue just for that from an auto parts store.

First Rule of Italian Driving: What's behind you, doesn't matter.

I have two side mirrors, so, the mirror inside isn't necessarily a requirement....... On one of my older trucks, the mirror fell off, and I never bothered to put it back on. (Michigan law requires two rear view mirrors, doesn't specify where they need to be.) But, the 98 has the auto-dimmin superfancy mirror.... so, if it decides to abandon the windshield, I'll likely put it back....

Parts store sell the neat kits for putting mirrors back on windshields. I mark the spot where the little 'puck' goes on the OUTSIDE of the windshield, scrape the inside clean with a razor blade, hit it with a bit of brake cleaner to make sure the glass is clean, glue the puck back in place, and use tape to hold it there...... and let the glue set for a day. They rarely fall back off.

Oh. Well, I tried the windshield glue azone guy recommended, fell back off. And I know I did it right. But maybe not.
Someone said there was something that you get like the glass co's use and that it def wont fall off if I used that. Forgot what it was.

Anyone see those orange rusted looking headers in the pic from the 1st post? Can I do anything about that? Like for looks only. Or should you not mess with that stuff. They're rough!
Thanks!

Headers rust. That's just the way it goes. The deal with some pretty high temps..... (800 degrees and up....) so, even high temp paint likely won't stay on there. Run 'em till they rust out, then get some good quality stainless steel fellers.

Perfect. That's what i'll do then. Thx

Where can we get seat bottoms? Sites like "moparpartsoverstock" and "moparpartsonline", etc, etc, dont have gen2 Ram front seat bottoms. I understand you njust take out like 4 bolts from under seat and the bottom comes off, new one back on, 4 bolt it back together? Mine has giant rip at left edge. AND, it's same in the 07 Ram and this 98!!

I dont know how to sew. But even if sewed, my gf says that it'll just rip again from the sewing it over stuffing missing some material?

Maybe I'll just buy some bottoms from generic leather, or even some of those heated bottoms, either from ebay or amazon or somewhere & strap em on in?
But I WANT some oem bottoms, grey, like the ones in there! thx

(if u wnat , i'll start new thread, like in correct area? just didnt want to be known as "frivilous thread startr guy", that's all)

Buy the foam, pay someone at an upholstery shop to install it for you.
