My other question is do I need restriction pads for my motor mounts for my 1500? I searched them up and they sell for 2500 and 3500s so it has me thinking?

Apology accepted, Keaton. Thanks for being upstanding. It's a main reason I remain on this forum (me and the other five, ha).

Glad you've found some good info GageD1. I hope you can just jack up the trans but it may hit the body since it rides so close. Of course, I have the manual so it may be taller.

I've never heard of a "restriction pad." What does that do? Sounds like a personal hygiene product, lol.

When I did my tranny for some reason it wouldn't Jack up high enough until I disconnected the 4wd lever from the trans

Oh, those. I just re-used my old ones. They kinda just pealed off the OE mounts so I put them back on. New mounts didn't come with. If they sell them for 2500s, it's the same part for 1500s. The mounts used for the V8s are way overkill and I think they're the same on the cummins. Almost everything is interchangeable between the models in our generation.

So worse case scenario could I get them from AutoZone or napa? I attached an eBay kit of what I would assume would fit them

If you have the time here's the link to a ram transmission mount for a 2500 if that made a difference but I planned on doing similar like in this video

That should work as the 2500 and 1500 share the same frames and mounts
