Think I would put some fresh gas in it first.

Okay, update, I tried to start it with no luck. I noticed that the odometer comes on with the mileage and then reads "no bus". Did a little research and found that it could be the ECM needs to be replaced, others said it was the crankshaft position sensor. I'm leaning towards the ECM, but I will inspect and likely replace the crank sensor since I've heard that those going bad is a common problem. So I figure a 30 dollar brand new sensor is probably good insurance. Has anyone had this issue? how did you resolve it?

Before all that, I think I will do a compression test to see if I'm just wasting my time.

Easiest way to test the no bus thing, is to disconnect sensors one at a time, and see which one finally gives you a reading on the odo.

Thanks I will give it a shot and see. Just out of curiosity, I connected my code reader to the truck and it could not link with it and kept giving me a "link failure".

Many possibilities there as well..... might be a loose connection, failing CTM, or any number of other things..... Try another scanner, see if that works.

Almost 3 years ago.... I would hope he has it running by now....

Start your own thread, detail what the issue is, and what you have done in an attempt to fix/troubleshoot.
