No, I got the Dorman 47170. (well 2 of them actually) The one I replaced looks just like the one pictured above but it is all black plastic. (no clear side) It is the same size and the same shape though. I wasn't aware there was a larger one.

The large one is suppose to replace that little one. It's in a TSB to fix the wild vents issue, it has a small reservoir in it to. Dodge installed that one it you complained of that vents issue.

Do you by chance have the part number for the larger check valve?

It's in a TSB to fix the wild vents issue,
The TSB is for the early rams that only have one check valve. If you have two already it shouldn't make a difference witch one to use other than the larger one may last longer due to the size of the valve in it.

Interesting I didn't read the whole thing. I know I have two and replaced them and still had the vents issue (01 Ram) and didn't help until I installed the bigger one.

You have to check to see witch end goes towards the engine, I noticed this with the ones from napa that they have a mark like the oem ones but work backwards. They will not work if not put in correctly.

The fittings were a bit larger then what the factory line is. What I did was got the right hose to fit the check valve and surprisingly the factory line fit right into it. I forget the size. But that is the only fitment issues that I had. I will say I only had them switch back to defrost once and that was climbing a steep grade for over an HR. Which is normal as all the vacuum was used up.
